Rust doesn't pause in Harris County's climate — it accelerates. Texas Paintmaster wire-brushes every bar, applies rust converter, primes with a direct-to-metal coating, and finishes with two durable topcoats. Iron that looks restored and stays that way for 5–8 years.

We exclusively use premium paint brands

Wrought iron painting in Spring typically runs $500–$3,000 depending on linear footage, fence height, and rust severity. We provide free, written estimates with locked pricing.
We use a combination of wire brushing, angle grinding, and a chemical rust converter. Wire brushing removes loose rust and scale; the rust converter neutralizes any remaining oxidation. Skipping either step causes rust to return under the new paint.
We apply a direct-to-metal (DTM) rust-inhibiting primer, followed by two topcoats of high-quality exterior enamel — Rust-Oleum Professional, Sherwin-Williams DTM Acrylic, or Benjamin Moore Impervo.
A properly prepped and painted wrought iron fence in Texas can last 5–8 years. The key is the prep — rust removal and a quality DTM primer are the primary factors in paint longevity on iron.
Yes. We paint all types of ornamental iron including estate gates, fence posts, driveway arches, courtyard railings, pool barriers, and stair handrails.
Plan to inspect every 3–4 years and repaint every 5–8 years. Touch up any chips or scratches promptly — bare metal exposed to Texas humidity will begin rusting within a season.
